Charlotte Gray
Watched Charlotte Gray yesterday and I won't beat about the bush, I really love it. I simple love everything about it - the production, the acting - actors and actresses, scripts etc. The young Cate Blanchett was so beautiful (not that she isn't now) and enchanting, her acting is the best! It's certainly not an easy watching sort of film, I find it's sad, upsetting yet moving and interesting. It definitely sends me back to that time during the Second World War when so many sad and terrible things happened which I can't even imagine what it would be like to live through it. The good thing is, it's over and now just a memory. I don't intend to write down what happened in the film (which is based on the book by Sebastian Faulks, a British author) just to say Charlotte Gray signed up for a job with the SOE to help the French Resistance in order to find her lost sweetheart who was an airman and his plane was shot down in France.
