The lord of the rings: The fellowship of the ring เดอะ ลอร์ด ออฟ เดอะ ริงส์ ภาคที่หนึ่ง

My next favourite film on this blog is The lord of the rings: the fellowship of the ring. When this film came out I lived in Somerset, England and a little town called Burham-on-sea, it had a very little quaint old fashioned cinema on the High Street where I went to watch this film over and over several times! Not just because the cinema was only 10 minutes walk from my flat but it was because I loved the film so much I wanted to watch it over and over again.  It started since I was very young and read The hobbit. I was into it so much I wanted to pack my bag and went on an adventure like Bilbo Baggins did in the book. When I heard that they were going to make the film of The lord of the rings I was skeptical to start with. I found that many characters from the book were left out and the story was cut short to make it more moving but it worked and seemed to make sense because you couldn't put the whole story in a couple hours film otherwise. It didn't fail to keep the same at

The silence of the lambs

I don't normally watch this sort of film over and over but The silence of the lambs is an exception because Jodie Foster is my favourite actress and I like Clarice Starling, the character she plays. These two ladies are almost the same person to me, Jodie and Clarice. When I feel a little bit vulnerable, feeble, soapy and scared, I will watch this film - not for the scary or violent bits but to remind me that there is another woman who has felt the same way I do and she has been brave and courageous, she is cool and smart, beautiful and sensible regardless to  how scared and vulnerable she feels. I actually really like the film too. I think it's a very good film in all aspects but if it's not for Clarice Starling I wouldn't have watched it so many times. The last time I watched it on DVD I thought the beginning of the film was a little ageing but it doesn't make me think less of it and Clarice has never felt  out of date to me. She stays as cool as she has always be

Julie & Julia จูลี่และจูเลีย

A perfect combination is the result of when you put two right things together, like moonlight and love songs, candlelight and roses, music and movies. In Julie & Julia's case it's cooking and writing! I knew I would love this film before I even watched it.  Based on two true stories of Julie Powell who lived in New York in 2001 and Julia Child who lived in France in the 1950's. The film shows the similarities between the two women who lived in different country and different period of time but they had the same passion - cooking and writing. They both had nice, supportive husband. They both tried to prove themselves.  Personally, I feel like I can relate more to Julie who was coming up to her 30 and still didn't feel like she was doing as well as the rest of her  university friends. I would really hate that cobb salad meeting and no way I would go, sitting or having anything to do with  that sort of superficial friends, they were  all pretentious. And what is c
